Since the December 28th update, the permits for Richmond continue to experience regulatory delays. We have submitted 3 updates requested by the communications strand owner and have just received another round of requests for further revisions not previously flagged. The permits continue to be escalated to push for completion. Project Richmond will get built as soon as we have the necessary permission to do so.
If you have not received the previous update, please double check your spam folder as we have had intermittent reports of some of our emails being marked as spam. Please give us a call at 1-877-266-6418 to get a detailed update whenever you wish, or to update the email address we have on file if have not received the emails.
Due in large part to the experience Community Fibre had with permitting for Richmond (as well as John Aselford), Community Fibre will be asking the CRTC to make changes to the Support Structure Tariff to address a number of the sources of the delays in these permits. More information to follow in the coming weeks.
